Anyone who has been alive in the last forty years will recall the good old Swan Teasmade. Manufactured by the company RBC Electronics, the teasmade made the favourite morning beverage automatically. Bliss! You can still purchase a Swan Teasmade from a variety of high street stores for just under £70. If not tempted so far, a popular Swan kettle on the market is that of the Brushed steel glow kettle. It has a base that lights up, a locking lid and a water heat indicator all in a stunning brushed steel exterior.
When it comes to kettles there is a lot more choice from other manufacturers. There is no end to the versatility of kettle producers such as DeLonghi, Russell Hobbs and Tefal. In terms of style and function (choose from cordless, stove top, cast iron, rapid boil etc), colour (choose from all colours of the rainbow) and availability it is a lot easier to check out the kettles on offer by these other companies. One thing you can say about Swan, they don’t spoil you for choice but they do provide a decent kettle and a decent toaster to go alongside it.
