Anyone who has been alive in the last forty years will recall the good old Swan Teasmade. Manufactured by the company RBC Electronics, the teasmade made the favourite morning beverage automatically. You would set the clock, get all the preparations sorted out (eg tea bags, fill with water etc) and hey ho, upon the alarm awaking you your bedside teasmade you would additionally have a cup of tea waiting for you! Bliss! You can still purchase a Swan Teasmade from a variety of high street stores for just under £70. Most models have a two-cup facility (and are provided with two cups), a photo frame, alarm/tea indicators and an illuminated analogue clock display.
