Orange kettles are in demand and the marketplace reflects this with aplomb! Why is that there are so many coloured kettles out in the market when one colour, the yellow, is seriously under represented! While reflecting this observation, I found three lovely orange kettles on the market, those of Staub, Kitchen Craft Le’Xpress and the ubiquitous Le Creuset!
If you have decided upon the type of kettle you would prefer and it is Le creuset, deciding what colour to go for is going to be a piece of cake. Everybody associates Le Creuset with the colour orange and so it is the volcanic orange that goes home with the happy shopper at the end of the day! Le Creuset kettles are made of cast iron and are of a certain traditional design. Everybody seems to want a kettle and cooking pots to match to enable their cooking environment to resemble the kitchen of any rural home in the Peter Mayle world of Provence. The Le Creuset range is as close as you can get to purchasing a country home in the south of France without actually purchasing a house (credit crunch times and all that!)

If a Le Creuset is required you may want to check out the Traditional Whistling Kettle for a few pounds under fifty. The colour has to be volcanic orange – offering a gradient of orange to red enamelling with black trim. You can use this kettle no matter what type of stove you have including the Aga and Rayburn!
Very special alternative choices to the Le Creuset whistling kettle is the Staub Teapot orange kettle and the Kitchen Craft Le’Xpress Lunar coloured whistling kettle. The latter is a beautiful stylish kettle for a very reasonable price of around £22. The Le’Xpress is gift boxed, has a capacity of 1.8 litres and offers a flip top whistle. As far as orange kettles go, this is a stunner and suitable for use on many types of stovetop although not on an Aga or Rayburn. The Staub orange kettle is unique but traditional looking and made of cast iron. This is a kettle that keeps the heat of the water once boiled so you don’t have to reheat water. If looking for a range of cookware to compliment this durable orange kettle, there is the cookware range to feast your eyes upon!
