Everywhere you look there are kettles of all shapes, sizes and colours. When looking for a green kettle it is more than the actual colour that interests us because we are hoping to commit towards conserving energy. To do this we require a high level of performance from our kitchen devices. We need a fast boiling kettle and what’s more we want only to boil the amount of water specifically required.
There are a number of planet-saving products out there in the kettle marketplace from beautiful designer green kettles to basic traditional looking products. At the end of the day we want a kettle that saves energy at a price we can afford (all of us being well aware these are credit crunching times!) Is there such a thing as an ecological kettle? We investigated and found there were a number of such items in our high street shops.
While some kettles feature water gauges or low water level elements to allow for efficient use of your kettle ie only boiling as much water as is required, others offer a rapid boil feature. The Tefal Quick cup is at the top of the green kettle pile! It takes just three seconds to provide a vessel of boiled water while only using a third of the energy any mainstream kettle would need.
