One of the fundamental ways to save energy is to not overfill our kettles (as many of us tend to do let’s be honest!). We know this as our local councils in the UK are constantly reminding us to only boil as much water as is required. This should be one of our highest priorities when you consider how many times the kettle gets boiled in a day. We all need an Eco Kettle to save energy - we know that but how much energy are we saving? According to the Energy Saving Trust, this kettle uses an average of 31% less energy than your regular kettle.
How does it work? The Eco Kettle has a special boiling chamber where the amount we require is released from the internal reservoir for boiling. You merely fill up the reservoir and press the measuring valve button for between one cup and up to the whole volume (determined via the marked front window) to be released into the boiling chamber. By releasing the valve button the amount of water released into the boiling chamber will instantly cease. You can now boil the kettle.
After the boiling process is complete, you can pat yourself on the back because you have successfully boiled the exact amount of water that you require therefore wasting nothing. Not only is this a product with an environmental conscience, it is easy to use and has a very stylish look to boot.
Remember when using the Eco Kettle, this is a high-powered boiling unit and as such should be handled with care. Allow at least five seconds from the kettle switching off following a boil to pouring its contents.
